This will be a critical role and the new hire must have the ability to grow with the business.
The Associate Channel Manager is responsible for channel management of the cooking portfolio across multiple customers and channels, with an emphasis on maximizing omni-channel opportunities.
Responsibilities include developing merchandising and POP materials, in-store and online promotional strategies, customer landscapes, sales collateral, trade shows, line reviews, and co-marketing partnerships.
They must act as the commercial hub among multiple functional areas by driving the resources needed to grow through existing customers and create new retail relationships.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Analyze POS for trends and opportunities to drive market growth at retail Serve as a key conduit between sales leaders and various internal functions Lead cross-functional teams on projects to ensure the timely implementation of merchandising programs, tradeshows and events, and sales and marketing collateral Work closely with sales and marketing to develop promotional strategies and annual plans to achieve increased brand exposure and incremental sales with retailers Research and provide competitive intelligence through use of landscapes, reports, etc.
Work cross functionally to support ongoing priorities such as internal communication processes, sales presentations, line reviews, market research and competitive intelligence Manage outside vendors as required for development and delivery of merchandising materials Collaborate with digital and advertising teams to drive brand awareness and promote sales Coordinate line reviews with schedule management, competitive landscape analysis, etc.
Required Skills Action oriented with the ability to manage cross-functional project teams Strategic thinking and planning capabilities Strong presentation skills and comfortable with a variety of audiences Merchandising sense and strong problem-solving skills Financial acumen including P&L experience Firm grasp of concepts related to brand and product marketing Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and meet assigned deadlines Ability to prioritize projects that maximize benefit to the business Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or other related discipline 1-4 years of experience with the ability to manage projects in a cross-functional environment Experience with mass merchant retail a plus Compensation$60-80k per year depending on experience
